The remote and secluded location of this property was absolutely perfect for a Christmas getaway. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery and ocean views, it felt like we were in our very own movie. The sense of history attached to the cottage added to the charm and made our stay even more special. We loved the cozy and rustic feel of the 200-year-old cottage, complete with all the quirks you would expect. The fact that basic amenities like salt, pepper, and toilet rolls were provided made our stay even more convenient.
While the remote location was a major positive for us, it is important to note that this might not be suitable for everyone. If you're traveling with small children or expect modern conveniences like WiFi and TV, this may not be the place for you.

We got great value for our money at this unique place in Donegal. The room was clean, spacious, and had breathtaking views from every window. The staff treated us like family, giving us helpful tips and even giving us a tour. Highly recommend!
The only thing that could make the breakfast choices better is if they had a wider variety of options. But overall, everything else was fantastic!

What a fantastic, unique place to stay! The cottage we had is 200 years old with the kind of quirks you would expect. It was cozy, had all we needed and staying at a working lighthouse was a wonderful experience. The views around the lighthouse were fabulous when it was clear, and the cottage was a cozy retreat when it wasn’t. We just loved it! John gave us great tips on local restaurants and bars, as well as a hidden gem of a beach closeby. Highly recommended for a unique and welcoming stay.
Strongly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful first night with amazing clear sky and starry views. Lovely beaches close by for therapeutic walks. Enjoyed the lighthouse tour provided by John.
The location was more remote than expected and there were no nearby stores, so it would have been helpful to have a better selection of basic cooking items. The cottage we stayed in was not clean and showed signs of wear and tear.

The view from the apartment was stunning, offering a beautiful panorama of the surrounding area. We loved the ever-changing weather brought by Storm Ciara, which added to the magical ambiance of our stay. The apartment itself was spacious and exceptionally clean, with all the necessary amenities provided. We found the staff to be welcoming and helpful, offering us a tour that was both informative and enjoyable. being able to bring our dog along made our stay even more memorable.
the lack of Wi-Fi and phone signal in the area made communication difficult, and there were no bathroom hooks for towels. It would also be beneficial to have better waste disposal facilities available on-site.
